Hello! Welcome to another video from Mart's garage. It's time to get the truck and the coupe running after been parked up over the winter. I need to make sure they are running properly as one will receive the rebuilt Crusty Flatty. I decide which one will get the engine swap.
No massive contrived jeopardy. No fuss. Just doin' what we do. Messing with old Fords.

    Thanks a lot.

  4. Very impressive,,,they both started in just a few moments .

I did notice the truck has about 30 psi of oil at idle,,,,very good .
It had a little lifter noise,,,,but not too bad,,,,,or was that the throw out bearing ?

The coupe engine seemed very good as well,,,,ran quite and no smoke from it as well .
Hard decision to make,,,,,go with whichever you think .

Great video as always,,,,,,I still can’t get over how quickly they started and ran after sitting for 7 months !
I’m sure you prepared them to sit for several months,,,,,great job !

I'd vote for the coupe as well. Then maybe you could refresh the 21 stud...eh?

also great job on the Dodge wiper...

  7. I agree, coupe should get the new engine. Both started up well and are running pretty good though. Like you said, tough decision to take down a running and driving car.

I noticed you getting in on the passenger side to start them and my first thought was oh I forgot, they drive on the opposite side of the road over there. Then you slid over to the other side and the steering wheel was the same as in the U.S. How hard is it to drive from that side in England?

It's not difficult, Kan. You get so used to it that you don't even think about it after a while. I used to work for a motor manufacturer. The development vehicles were left or right hand drive at random. I got used to just going with whatever was in front of me. The only thing that can be a pain is toll booths.

  12. Or any drive throughs. I have 2 RHD vehicles over here in LHD US, so unless you have a passenger, best to just park and go inside.
Agree with Mart, driving on the "wrong" side of the vehicle is just a matter of getting used to it. For me with the RHD in LHD world, the weirdest thing is left turns where I am on the complete outside of the turn. But you get used to it easy. Shifting with left hand is also just matter of getting used to it, the pattern is same as any, and the throttle/brake/clutch is in the same position as US; i.e. you use your right foot for the throttle.

I never even gave a thought to toll booths or drive through's. As always, enjoyed the video.

    The hose clamps are Mikalor.

I was able to get them on UK ebay. Not sure if they are available worldwide.
