I really do like "Made in USA", if trying to do something,I use what I can get though.
One odd thing I see too often is *****ing about how poor something was made. And yes often it was,but lots of times the fail was not how it was made as much as how poorly it was used=screwed up by user.
I have what some may see as a bad habit,of thinking every thing I take out of a box maybe bad. So check it out and fix it,if I can.- It's kind of away to save a few disapointments.

I have been slowly working on a GMC that is almost entirely aftermarket. None of it worth a $4!t either, the owner bought all of this stuff so the body shop would have an easier time painting. Amazingly enough, the stuff doesn't line up with it's own brethren, tailgate to bedsides, fenders to doors, none of it. Just a heads up, be prepared to make the sheetmetal fit BEFORE paint. Likewise, all of the latches and pretty much everything will need "m***aging" to work. Always save as much original stuff as possible, you'll be way ahead at the end.

Yep, this was the majority of the problem. When compared to the original gl*** the new one was about an eighth inch smaller over all.
