No info in the Sticky about stock Mustang cast manifolds. Search brought up some info, seems like they fit. Reason is I have a line on a set from a '69 Mustang, $100. Haven't seen them in person yet. Suppose the question for the group is should I even risk getting cast iron if they may end up cracking? Would ceramic coating help with cracking? Cheers!
First, the high heat paint will not last all that long. Ceramic coating is the better way to go and even that will eventually be gone. I have had numerous headers coated and they all eventually had rust coming through the coating.. I think a cast manifold may even last longer simply because it doesn't expand and contract like a tube header. Just my opinion of course/ Hey, look at Eastwood they have some nice products for your cast iron stuff.
I have some of the brush on coating for cast irons manifolds on the 302 in my 53F100.it has been there for at least 20 years and still looks good. I used the same for the ones on my 55. Great stuff for sandblasted cast iron manifolds. It cures as you drive.
Had a cast iron crack on mine,my solution https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/media/albums/hedman-88400.45641/ Cleared the steering box better too.
Looks like these are a copy cat of these: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/another-sbf-header-for-53-woohoo.1058469/
