Does anyone know what the plug and holes in the belt line of the door and quarter panel are for? there are two in the door and two in the quarter panel. I'm preparing for paint I'm thinking about filling them but I'm curious what they were for.

I believe they were for the side curtains to snap on.

  4. Hard to say without a picture but they might be for snaps for the side curtains.

The br*** plugs do look like they may have been the male portion of a snap but they are a bit smashed. I wasn't sure because the previous owner(s) drilled and installed newer snaps. In any case I doubt I'll need them so I'll fill them. Thanks for your responses.

there was a hole with an embossed ring around it running down through the top of the door,
the window curtain had a support rod that held everything up when the door opened... it ran through it.

Yes, they are side curtain snaps. Fill the holes.
