I bought a 41 Ford Business Coupe that was basicly just a rolling original frame (crusty and wore smooth out) and a good straight body that has a minimum amount of rust. Here's what's been accomplished so far: I removed everything from the fire wall forward except the frame rails. I gutted what was left of the interior, and removed the rear fenders. I completely rebuilt the front end including king pins, tie rod ends, drag link ends, and I added a disk brake kit, and split the wish bones to clear a late model 5 speed. I have the motor and transmision mounts in place to fit a late model small block and 5 speed. I removed the original rear end and replaced it with a late model Expedition rear end that has a locking 3rd member, and disk breaks.
The car still needs basicly everything else, from minor floor board repair, to paint, to new wiring etc.....
What would be the next thing to start on with a project like this?

uh...i'd get it rolling...then get all mechanical...then all electrical...

then get the body all back together...than go from there with all the fun creative stuff..

a good little thing i've learned...always do something on it...no matter how small or insignificant...if you stop for a while and think about all the **** you have to do it can get way too overwhelming(i got it bad,i'm a king of procrastination)...

but that's just me...good luck and pictures are always cool..

lil' inspiration...brewsirs...just as cool as all his stuff

To be realy honest, I try realy hard not to think about everything at once. I never planned on completely rebuilding my car. I planned on doing a lengthy series of small projects on it. I set out to rebuild the front end. Once that was done, I decided to add a late model rear end so on and so forth. The idea of rebuilding my car seems overwhelming, small projects are perfectly fine.
I guess the next step would be brake lines or a collum so that I have a roller that will steer and stop. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
