  3. Looking good!
Just one note (and you may already know this), but pressure treated lumber is very corrosive to certain metals. Make sure to get a good coat of paint on the plywood once it has cured well.
    I'm loving your project, tho.

It can also have nasty lung stuff in it. Careful sanding/cutting it.
Too much of that around without adding treated wood dust...

Corona treatment......it's arsenic I believe...Just another Hazard in the Shop...

    Moral of the Story...

Always be careful what you dirty your nostrils with...no joke...right up there with those NOS asbestos laden brake shoes one might find at a swap meet.

The treated wood products I buy from Menard's are listed as arsenic free!

That's good too know Dick, I was just going on past perhaps very dated knowledge but might be worth reading the fine print beyond that statement however...

Seats, door, quarter and kick panels, tonneau cover for the cab and bed, pedal pad, shift knob and steering wheel wrap, shift boot, pedal boots, the possibilities are vast!

While we may all strive for complete mechanical mastery, there is something to be said for the guy that does something 40+ hours a week and has all the equipment and supplies on hand. It often doesn't hurt to have a fresh set of eyes look things over either.

Well I’m about to turn 77 and I enjoy the mild sound of my Stainless Works steel packs exiting all the way out the back IMG_0683.JPG

I cranked first time with new oil pump, timing chain, and water pump. Sounds like a 283 with straight pipes.

Started building the throttle pedal , I copied the way RUSTY mounted the pedal on the Arnett Roadster, that he built. But mine will be using a Lokar style black cable. Swap meet pedal came from Pate swapmeet in Texas , the rest came from hardware store and Atwood’s Farm Supply. 96EFB903-35AE-4BA0-A9AB-61D6EA9C8896.jpeg 44E8F67F-D4FF-4525-A86B-06531A5C9FBA.jpeg 194BBA49-2CE3-419A-8186-858678A1F445.jpeg 769092E8-B2C1-4A33-9AD0-43C621D48203.jpeg
