Well guys I finally got my car on the road.Hadn't been driven on the road since '66!I'm 2nd owner, krazy eh! This was it a few months ago... We pulled it in the shop and S-10 clipped and diffed it.SBC/700R4 etc. I used the stock steer column etc.Heres Blaze boltin the dummy block and trans together Started takin a lil outa the top..... Got most of the chop done in this pic, still lots to do though.... Heard about a few young hot shot kids who lay on some killa primer so off it went to get some color This is my 5 yo son Blaze and my 2 yo daughter Ember preppin it They got Riley(3 yo) to come over and help out too Finger paintin does pay off you know They even conned aunty Christy into helpin out, they run a pretty tight shop,,,errr I mean yard Remember like I've always said,"Prep it with an Axe,Paint it with a Broom" In other words drive the ****in car instead of just lookin at it Testin it out, this was the 2nd day drivin it(thursday) and I drove it to Osoyoos(bout a 8 hour trip the next day without any issues) cruisin in Osoyoos, what a blast.... I was thrashin on it so much to get it driveable I didn't even have time to put the wide whites on it before we left on our trip,so here it is now..... And with my 55 Olds caps. Now I can finish off all the lil chit. Its been a blast havin my kids involved from the get go. Gotta thank all my bros for helpin out and my wifey for lettin me do this krazy **** everyday......Shiny
COOL! Glad to see the kids are involved. Not bad lookin' but I hope you didn't let the kids do any of the welding! lol!
Yeah, when the hell you gonna come up here! The cars been gooder to me. Except had a tire blowout on the highway the other night, just about bit it. Thanx for the props on the chop. I'm gonna section in the fall. The kids are for hire for sure.Just right now they're workin fulltime I ended up taking 5 3/4" outa the A pillars and about 9 1/4" outa the C pillars.Moved the rear window forward 5 3/4" too.....Shiny
Hey, I missed this thread when ya posted it. Came together well it looks from the pics! haha loogy... I thought he had a kid shaped jackstand or something at first!
My kid is dieing to paint my car. Must be all that painting in kindergarten. We literally have drawers full of paintings my 6 yr old has done in his 2 years of preK and K. I never painted in kindergarten. Was read at, ate stale cookies and took naps. I'm not sure they got the intended result with all this art stuff in grade school now. "Screw higher education Dad! I'm gonna be a grease monkey!" LOL! I'm at the stripped and taking the body off stage. I'm definitely going to have a brush on primer "field day" at my house! Come to think of it he has a coupla' aunts that can paint too! Great car. And great pics. You should be proud - for many reasons. 49Lincoln
