    Hello,
I'm installing aerostar springs on my 55. I destroyed the boot on the lower ball joint so I figured I'd change out the whole thing. The best price I can find is on amazon $58.95 for two. I really only need one. One from autozone is $179.00. Does anyone know where I can get one at a fair price?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Why not just replace the boots ? These are far better than rubber,if you get these from your local Autozone or Pep Boys through their warehouse usually overnight or later same day you won't get hit with a shipping charge just write down the part numbers and go to the closest store to order these. http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/universal-dust-boots.asp

Save the ball joint if its good. I got new boots and washers from Larry TBird. The Ford ball joints are far superior to what's available aftermarket.

Dorman has a good boot selection and Pep Boys at least by me had a selection. Did get the Energy Suspension ones for my tie rods, the India ones cracked before I got 1 mile on the car.

  6. So i'm bringing this back up, I just did my ball joints and bought a new washer/felt kit for them. My new ball joints came with rubber boots, to replicate how my upper ball joints were oriented,i had to remove the rubber boot and just use the series of washers and felt that came with kit. So would I have to do the same with the lower ball joints? or do I keep the rubber boot and stack the big washer, then felt, then smaller washer on top of that?
