looks sweet, i tossed that very idea around in my head but was gonna go un chopped and not as low. i was tossing if i moved the axle forward running a turtle deck or grafting in a rear to a coupe maybe. shoot, i even have the wild idea of a 59 impala rear quarters.. aint the design stage fun... i will probaly cut down the boxsides off something, , i probaly only need 1 longbox boxside to get the job done. i am leaning more twards stock ride and everything with a cut down box and 235/powergide combo. keep the pics coming man, i need all the inspiration i can get.

I've just started a project remarkably like yours. A few Q's if you don't mind? Did you replace wood with steel? If so, what size(s)? How much chop? Anything to look out for with the chop? Did you lean the A posts? Are you gonna put anything behind the cab? Box? Gas tank? Did you chop the back window as much as the rest? Did you replace the bolt on roof with something else? Any advice you are willing to provide will be appreciated. Your truck is looking very cool at this point. Good luck with the rest of the build.

The wood in the body side if the door jam is 2x3.1/2 sliced and bent in a slight curve to follow the body line.bobw, the other top that is settin on top of the rod was on i scooped up from a nother rodder to splice across,my roof to get the pillers lined back up.I was going to buzz the viser off and trans plant it to my roof to. but lately i've concidered having the local tin shop sheer a strip to fit the gap.because, the other top door seal is alittle different. i think i can weld and hammer the bends in the seal. The rear window i cut out before the chop.I left four inches of flat around it, and it still needs to be addressed.I have a fuel tank from a model A,the oval one.

i am leaving my stock suspension up front, but will keep you in mind next time i am at the junkyard. i need to rebrace the cab on mine, in bringin it back it shook loose, i figure a bunch of square tubing and angle iron i be set. if you find a 35-36, they had steel doors, i got a lead on a set, but am sticking with what i got since the door wood has "patina". .
i got one of them oval tanks in the rear also, just wish it wasnt rotted gone. i am putting a 8 3/4 in the rear and lined up some 55 f100 brakes on my stock front axle today, have to redrill the holes for the backing plates, but put me in the running for juice brakes. i also am leaning twards finding a 30's box off a ford if i get lucky enough to find one rotten enough for me to afford, or cutting down the sides off anything i can find cheap.. seems mike found the orig shell for the binder, and i got a nice 31 buick shell too that would look sweet up front, all rust, no chrome. so i figure i slay that cow when it comes to that. i do have another number for a guy that has a few of the old binder grille shells laying around pretty reasonable price, no chrome though. i haven't called him since i ran into him at btt50's.

that 40 ford on my photobucket page?.. gotta talk to mike landwehr about that one, i figure its his deal, not 100% sure what he's doing yet with stuff out there, not gonna step on any toes so ask him. i am sure the prices are reasonable. all i know is there quite a few old things, and some of its saveable, and most of its for sale as far as i know. i was snappin pictures b/c its cool stuff to look at.

    shanesflames,
Thanks for the info. It will help me with my '35 International.
    ground pounder,
Looks like we're practically neighbors. If you want to compare build progress I'll be starting mine around mid-August.
