Having trouble sorting out the carb on my 52 merc/monarch 8ba. Has a 4bolt tea pot carb on it and cant seem to find a proper rebuild kit for it or a suitable 4 bolt replacement. I have a c69a sitting aside that has a 3 bolt mount and a 94 on it. Is it worth the effort to swap intakes? Rebuild the tea pot? Mod a newer 2bbl to fit 4 bolt? Bit stumped at the moment. Any tips/advice much appreciated. [IMG]

They're called flame pots for a reason.

If you have a Load O Matic distributor you will need to change that as well if you change the carb.
The car will perform better , mine sure did.

I'm not in love with the divorced choke mechanism, but not really a bad carb.

Like Petew stated, if you change the carb, you must also change the distributor.

Carb kits are readily available mail order. Doubt you will find one in your FLAPS.
