Our football coach defected down there in january. Other than that, its too close to Illinois, according to the cheesheads.
There's more than a few HAMB folk around - plus lots of tech folks; flatheads, hemis and more. The modern Leonardo da Vinci, Scientist, Inventor, Artist Bob Bleed is here. (he just fininshed my new stainless steel front end). Don't forget about the Cheaters in Milwaukee and their show every summer. There's the Jefferson swap meet which can be ok sometimes. Goodguys and MSRA have shows in Milwaukee. Plus you'll be closer to the "Pile Up".
Well, I'm from Bristol, WI just 10 miles West of Kenosha or 25 miles East of Lake Geneva. There are many local cars and some real ******** hot rodders in the area, but not too many local events or cruise nights that I am aware of. There used to be a pretty big Sat. night cruise in Richmond, IL every week, but I haven't done that one in several years. The Iola Swap Meet already happened this year www.iolaoldcarshow.com, but you're not too far from the Goodguys show in Waukesha http://www.good-guys.com and the Cheater-A-Rama show at the Nite Owl drive in just north of the airport in Milwaukee. Both are the same day (Aug 19). There is also the Hunnert Car Pileup in Morris, IL (Oct. 14) http://www.hunnertcarpileup.com There is a lot of regular activity in Chicago and Milwaukee, but I'm sure you would rather find something local. Bristol is still a sleepy farm town, so I have to go looking elsewhere.
used to live in the area. Freezing *** cold in the winter, hot and muggy in the summer, and if I remember right, they tax you to death. Other than that it's quite nice.

Hes from SOUTHERN Minnesota which is still north of where he wants to move, he knows about cold, their sales tax, if I remember correctly is higher while our property taxes are higher then theirs, but their vehicle licensing is higher.
I'm from Janesville, just north of Beloit, but currently live in Evansville, which is just north of Janesville Lots of Chevy Mullet around here.
