    Can it be a Canadian build within the last few years? historic enough? :D @Denns1989 snoopy is the first old one that comes to mind. he should be on here for sure.

    What do you get when you take a $15.00 and buy 1926 Ford body? Then chop it six inches, channel it six more inches, add 1923 Ford rear fenders, a 1931 Chevrolet frame narrowed 6 inches, a well chromed 1955 Buick V8, 1937 Chev brakes, 1955 Buick Dynaflow transmission and a pail of Lemon Yellow lacquer?

    The answer is the first Canadian car on the cover of Car Craft magazine, the Lemon T.

    Starting on this project at 17 years old, Cliff Rich already had three years experience in the automotive hot rod scene. Having already played with a 1935 Ford five window, Cliff had a vision. After his shift at BowMac, Cliff would head home to this project in the Rich family's one light bulb garage. Earning $15.00 per week, Cliff spent long hours constructing one of the iconic cars in early Canadian hot rodding. This historic car influenced many local boys to get in the hot rod craze in the late 50's and after they were done building model cars patterned after Cliff's T, they moved on to their own hot rods and race cars. Once the car was completed it was driven to the Seattle Car show and on the return trip, Cliff realized that 1937 Chevrolet 6-cylinder could not keep up with Stu Braddock’s V8. So out came the banger and in went a 1955 Nailhead Buick and Dynaflow transmission. The daily driver made a return trip to Seattle the following year and eleven trophies came back to Canada. These prized awards are still in Cliff's museum/laboratory/shop. Besides sharing the 1959 Car Craft with Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth, the Lemon T was also featured in the April 1961 issue of Rodding and Restyling.

    Cliff is still building Hot Rods and has been inducted into the Greater Vancouver Motorsports Pioneer Society.

    We had a Snoopy here to but it was a channeled 32 roadster.

    Back in the summer of 1974 after American Graffitti came out, m Scan-200507-0004.jpg y buddy Wayne bought a '32 five window which I chopped poorly. Some time later, I found that car in the February 1970 reader's cars photos in Rod & Custom; I recognized the ugly seats. It was mounted on a Willys frame. Dave told me he sold the chassis separately.

    The LeBaron was built by Glen Richardson and no longer exists. It was influential enough for the local car club to be named after it. Scan-171210-0001.jpg

    :rolleyes:...Why is Hamber @Fast Elvis smiling?...because he will soon be piloting this Historic Monster Rail 'The Purple People Eater' circa 1957 down the strip once again...after completing a meticulous restoration after a rescue from a grassy forgotten space somewhere in Southwest Ontario, Canada

    Great Job Elvis, we can't wait to see the Hairmobile rip the strip once again...
