this is my 46. chopped and channelled by previous owner. my plans were for a westergard styled sleek tail dragger. you guys have fun with it. i had a couple olds grilles and one buick that i had inteneded to swap in but the stock 46 chrome is growing on me. previous owner tacked the headlight rings on with the idea of frenching them in. to start off. lets see the stock chrome headlight rings, rectangular turn signals in their stock location, remove the added fourth grill bar and put a chrome bumper on in it's stock location. don't spare the shine.

OK, Gurus, may I go for the whole enchilada? Would you be kind enough to fill in the rear door window, the little "quarter" window (that black "streak" at the back of the door window), and the rear side window each with the body color. As if these were each individually replaced with body metal (exactly what I hope to do eventually, sort of pseudo sedan delivery-ish).

One last request on this before I put a bunch of stuff up for sale so I can start building it. Can one of you fine gentlemen add a Gee Bee style scallop? I’m picturing steel gray or silver with about the color of that interior, which is close to the wheels already, on it as a scallop and wheel color. Maybe a belly pan as opposed to the 32 frame? 484905DD-ADCF-4969-BCD3-0B4EE901F66E.jpeg 2637C52E-7F2A-4FE2-BA74-D64E66EF574D.png D986B66E-A743-4B11-A679-9ADB54FB22FC.jpeg

Thank you for the quick response, it does look good that way. But rather than putting in a single panel I plan to replace the window glasses individually with metal, leaving the slanted mid-point structural support/design aspect intact.

madfish, can you make that fade away meet the rear fender a little higher up?

looks like you tucked the bumper in from the stock location. can you move it out a tad as if it had the factory valance or gravel pan or whatever it's called between the bumper and body?
would 53 buick headlight bezels add to it or not?

  20. Had a couple of projects going on but I finally got some time to do a color version of your grandfather's car. The photo is pretty denigrated so I had to use my imagination on some of the details. Hope it works for you.

  22. Here's an odd request but also open to options, my buddy has this 59 that he ask my opinion on for paint. He's a low buck do it yourselfer so nothing crazy, he plans on running steel wheels and wide whites, although I suggested a medium width white wall for a cheaper alternative, he mentioned blue or flat black, I suggested a two tone of something to kind of hide the big roof.
So creative artistic ability is yours for the taking, just keep in mind he is not a custom painter, although he's painted a few cars.

I kept this simple and mostly stock. The caramel paint was a stock color in 1959, but paired with a white top and side streak. From the factory, the body color was used on the window posts, which emphasized four-door styling. I painted the roof, posts, and streak black to give a more unified look.

Thanks. The belly pan fits the bill perfect. My heads and intake for this showed up yesterday. I am going to sell my 28 and 32 roadster projects I think just to get on this sooner.

You really need to add a signature at the bottom of your art work.

Hi guys I just bought one of my favorite cars and really need some help!!! I picked up a 62 thunderbird and could use some help seeing what it could look like!! I’m thinking satin silver including the bumpers (too rough to use and too expensive to replace right now) steel wheels with beauty rings and spider caps, smaller white wall tires and bellflower exhaust. I know it’s a lot but.... the pics are not mine but I figure it might be easier to modify these vs my car in pieces!!! Thank you in advance!!![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
