Soon to be either buying or crafting a hood scoop myself, I figured it would be a good subject to deliberate over. We all know what scoops aren't hamb friendly, so let's not bring them up for bashing. Post some pictures of your favorites and maybe it will give those looking some inspiration. Here are a few of mine. 38738002_2135748850041499_442070658675900416_n(1).jpg 95880776_235205384249959_4026043120063594352_n.jpg Scotto & Blevins 55 Nomad.jpg 49069753_1658078940960203_7522242865091575808_o.jpg Ronnie Smith D MP production 55 Chevy. rompin Rebel.jpg

depends on if you are looking for a true g***er look the cast aluminum dual quad bolted to carbs poking out of hole in hood is the way to go - but, need blower or tunnel ram - attached are some that you could possibly make to attach to hood or mold in 20200517_123736.jpg 20200517_124026.jpg 20200517_124124.jpg 20200517_124321.jpg

I love a good 67 427 Vette scoop. My only issue is if I want to run air cleaners with my carbs, and I do. The only thing that will clear my setup is either a grump lump or whatever you call that streamlined looking similar scoop. I'll post a pic. Break away FMP 53 chevy.jpg

Baby T-Bird is my favorite style. Not too great for usefulness, but very tastefully designed.

Not exactly a hood scoop, but it does the same thing. For me the scoop Red Greth designed for the Speed Sport roadster over 60 years ago is the best that's ever been. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to talk Red into making me one out of the original mold. I run it with pride on my RPU.

Bahah! Mailbox scoop. However, that scoop/thing on the RPU is really a neat item. Nothing I have ever seen before, and will probably never see another in person.

Another vote for teardrop...even on a Chevy. Sorry for the OT wheels, but otherwise, this 55 is pretty HAMB friendly including blown big block and 4-speed. I painted it for a buddy about 25 years ago and molded on the teardrop.

I like my surfer scoop, sunk it into the hood like a shaker

I always loved everything about cropped 2.jpg the Two Lane Blacktop car except the hood scoop.

No kidding! That is one of the sorriest excuses for a hood scoop that I've seen...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I guess.:rolleyes:o_O

Personally I like the old tear drop bubble hoods but they are very few cars they look right on. HRP
