Just signed up for Netflix, first order: Funny Car Summer. I kept blanking on hard to find hot rod movies (a recent HRM listed a bunch of 'em, wish I had it still), what do you usually pick to get yer car flick fix?
BTW- which fairly recent issue of HRM had the listings of all the hot rod movies? Am returning Bullit, trying to decide on the next one, but wanna get something vintage and hard to find, old b&w hot rod flicks. Any suggestions?
its not an old hot rod flick but ive always liked ROAD RACER dir by Robert Rodriguez its cool . and theres always 2 lane blacktop

Choppertown, the sinners is on Netflix now.... it's pretty good, I got it a few weeks back. Not a car movie, but a good bike flick. edit: oh, and the blues brothers... gotta get that. aw, just go out and buy it, come to think of it! Ben
Just don't get the one about "PASO".......the wife had that on the list and it was real tough to watch.........just some guy with a handheld camera walking around "PASO" in the late 90's and asking about cars. Chris Nelson Kansas
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. It's one of the worst films I've ever seen acting wise but theres tons of chases/wrecks.
Sending back "Hot Rod Girl" from 1956, a very cool, funny in a squeeky-clean way. Highly recommend it. San Fernando Drag Strip, the kids and the cop (Chuck Conners) trying to keep the drags going despite a new troublemaker in town... Someone was telling me of a DVD full of NHRA announcer Dave McClellan's action calls, anyone heard of it?
