Hot Rods Using stock type shocks on a lowered car.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris Haynes, May 27, 2020.

  1. I have just replaced the springs on my 1930 Tudor with new reversed eye springs from Posies. These springs will give me a two inch drop. I realize this will change the amount of upward travel of the shock arm. Without going to tube shocks what are my options to correct this ?

Use a shorter dog bone. Drill new holes in the frame to reposition the arm where it needs to be. I angled the shock/holes to move the arm up.

If you are using a lever arm style shock just shorten the dog bone that attaches the shock to the axle the amount of drop you added
