Hello everyone. I'm Jim from the Midwest. I have FoMoCo vehicles. The one I'm working on the most right now is a 1965 Thunderbird. It's a refurbishment project that I hope to turn into a presentable driver...someday! I look forward to talking about cars with HAMB people.

    From northern IL. Hey there.
My brother has a nice 65 bird. Is that the one referred to as a square bird?

Hi Phil. Thanks for the howdy. The 65 is actually called the Flair bird. I guess that refers to the body contour flairs along the side.

The square bird was the 2nd generation T Bird (the first four seater) made from 58 - 60. I think they chose the word "flair" for the 64-66 cars because it rhymes with "square"...and the 64-6's had gone back to a more square shape in the vein of the 58-60's. They didn't want to call them square again, so they said flair, referring to the contours.

  4. Hey mate... welcome... A 65 TB. What a great project car. Don't see many of those in Australia.
