My fav. pizza place, been getting pizza there along time. Opened in 1955 and still going strong. Pizza runs are some times as many as 8 hot rods.
I can play! My older than me cousin bought a new 56 Ford Victoria from this dealer. I was not quite 5 years old but I remember jumping in the back seat when he drove it out of the showroom. Mr. Ogg gave me this key fob said it would make me a Ford man. I told him my Dad was a Buick guy and I was to. I still kind of like 56 Fords but I am still a death do me part Buick guy just like my Dad!
As a child in the 50's, I remember that our grandparents in IL. always had miniatures of their current license plates on their key rings. Sadly, I do not have any photos or examples.
Here are a couple from our trip out Route 66. Are you old enough to remember "Drop in Any Mailbox"? For that matter, can you remember when motel rooms had real keys?

Me too. From Hemmings: "From the early 1940s to the mid-1970s, DAV mailed these tags to owners of registered vehicles in various states. The license plate number was on one side and the DAV's address and instructions were on the other to serve as a means for returning lost keys. Also included was a request for a donation to the DAV. When a set of lost keys with this tag was found, following the directive to drop them in a mailbox would get them to the DAV where the staff would match the plate number on the tag with the address of the registered plate owner, and then the keys would be returned."
I had a cool old green hotel room key but ditched it for this spark plug and the Mobil piece. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Not exactly vintage but it is from the Vintiques car club. These guys put on the greatest little rod run in Watertown South Dakota, drawing cars from as far away as Wisconsin and Colorado. Every registered participant got one of these medallions on their 35th rod run each numbered. If I remember correctly, they drew 35 numbers and gave away $100 for each drawn number.
