Bought it on Ebay, cost me 3 times as much to go and get it as it cost to buy it, if you blurr your eyes, it almost has a chance !!!! Hope to post progress photos, that is if I don't come to my senses first....Of course when the women in the rest stop asked me, "What Is That??" I told her it was the start of a darn good arguement when I got home !!!!!!

your right, thats a piece. You should just give it to me and call it even.

But seriously, good luck with the project. It should be educational at least.

I think it's potentially a good looking car -- good basic body style and a tasty chop. The back end of the top is certainly...uhhh... unresolved, though. Hope you have some talent for that stuff.

    Is it a '52?

  22. I think the old "if you got it, run it," works here. Might depend a little on the rest of your plans for suspension and drive train, though. There are many options...S-10 frame and IFS, Camaro or Nova clip, MII, you might even be able to get the stock front suspension off someone who went with one of the other options. I know I sold mine cheap when I pulled it out of my '51. Also depends on how low you wanna go...IMHO, I wouldn't try to go with the stock front end if you plan to lay it out (which I would :D). My .02.

I'd get it set on the stock frame you have. Hang all the loose parts you have on it. Have your wife come out and look at it again, so she can see it looking more like a car, less like something you drug home from the s**** pile. If she sees it looking more like a car, she may understand you spending the money on it. It will also fire you up to to get it streetable. It does have a nice profile on the trailer, I bet it will look even better on some wheels. Post some picts if you get it set up!

like everyone said, put it on the stock frame, install most of your parts to make it look like a car,,,try making it a roller....

    THEN STOP.

YOU MUST FIGURE out the back window FIRST.

work on the back window FIRST.

IF you can not fix the rear roof ,rear window, area,,,s**** the body....

OR give it a FAKE Carson type convertable top...IN Black material with a satin/primer black paint job.

do you know what a carson type top is??

Maybe someone can post some example pics...
