Technical Three speed Saginaw stuck in second gear

Change the bearings, clean it up and use it again. The only time I ever had a problem with that style trans was because if miss alignment due to the line boring of the mains. Learned many years later about dialing in the crank to the bell housing trans opening.

 

Installed the transmission. Yesterday I got the correct yoke from Hot Rod Frank... F&J who live 4 miles from me. Went to the Oriental take out place and go the luncheon special for both of us. I also installed the Hurst shifter and made sure it p***ed through the gate nicely. Installed the driveshaft. Tomorrow I take it for another test ride.

 

I hope this works out for you. After selling you the shifter and all of your trouble getting it to work then finding the bad internals. You have had some trials and tribulations with this.

I offered him a trans that I took the cover off and it looked good for $50. After a bunch of e-mails back and forth, he found one closer to him that was in June.
