PRICE DROP, SEE BELOW...For sale, 1949 Ford 2dr Sedan, aka Shoebox Ford. This was my daily driver for many years. Chevy 350 engine & turbo 400 trans with a Maveric rear end which is a proven drivetrain for reliability and stoutness . She will cruise70-75 mph comfortably all day if you desire. Lowered with a Tex Smith idea from his book, which lowers these cars correctly. It handles and drives very well unlike the “spring chopped” lowering done to these cars. I used it as a Bonneville “push car” for a few years. I would drive it there and back with no issues. I would always clean it as best I could but there is rust from the salt. I liked the look of the well seasoned exterior with the reliability of a mechanically sound car. Stock interior, missing carpet & headliner. The interior is usable as is or fix it up as you drive her. Some body work was done including shaved side spears, hood nosed and smoothed off fuel fill. She has stainless headers, split exhaust with gl*** packs, 16” wheels and is licensed and legal. Super solid car you can go anywhere in and be a daily driver . This is an economical way to get into a cool Shoebox Ford that you can leave as is and just enjoy or fix up as you go but still enjoy her daily unlike a non running project. $7900 and drive her home anywhere !
