************SOLD***********. I'm selling this 401ci engine with 3-speed Super Turbine 400 Switch-pitch transmission because I'm about to turn 76 and now realize that I have more projects than time.. It's absolutely complete with all original parts and accessories including starter, alternator, PS pump, a/c compressor, 4 barrel carburetor, all manifolds, driveshaft yoke, distributor, air cleaner, and the rare and expensive electric transmission kickdown switch (Ebay currently has 3 used ones listed at $125, $140 and $375 asking prices). The previous owner said it would run, but I've never fired it. It isn't stuck, but I would recommend at least tearing it down far enough to check out the valves, cylinders and bearings. It definitely needs new gaskets and seals to correct the oil leaks which are so common with nailheads. I will check behind the starter motor for cracks in that usual crack location before I take your money and will throw in a gasket set for a full-price sale. I'll also give you 30 days for inspection and will refund your purchase price if it isn't as described or isn't rebuildable because of cracks or other substantial defects. $750 is for local pickup. I'm willing to put it on a pallet and take it to Fastenal in Vancouver WA or Portland OR or to your chosen freight company in those cities for $50 extra. You make your own shipping arrangements.
