I'd much rather work there than here.
    That sign is a knock-out!

What a cool looking shop, just seems to have that old time honest working shop vibe.

Steve W. is one cool cat. I had the privilege of seeing his shop last April while in town for the Round Up.

Cool shop with so much style.

  11. We got it good in South Austin, no doubt. The shop is going better than ever, thanks to El Jefe saving it from turning into another restaurant or condos. You can't buy patina like that - great shop, great guys running it. Thanks for getting the Sedan rolling again for the Revolution, fellas!

If you wanna keep tabs on all the killer stuff coming in and out of the shop - check out @Krupanut feed on instagram - theres always some great projects going on over here.

Glad we had a chance to visit a little before you had to run, Jay - wish you coulda stayed around another weekend for the Revolution, should be a great time. Come back and see us soon!

Love Dave's Perfection! I grew up in this neighborhood and before I could drive, this place would draw me in everytime I would go by. I had the privilege of working there for a little while when I was about 19 and driving my 2 door '60 Chevy. I was sad when I heard about Dave but really happy this place lives on. Dave and Ronnie were great guys to learn from. Austin grew too big and we locals moved along but it's nice to see pockets of real Austin living on!
