I owned this 1932 Coupe in the late 80's and had it til around 1999. Do you know who owns it now? I made a movie about it also. I liked to talk to the owner of the car and give him my history on it. Any leads is much appreciated. Thanks, Chris Carroll 858-866-4661
Was it early Olds powered with a Horne 4x2 intake? It bounced around here in NJ for a few years but I lost track of it,
Yeah that was this '32 Coupe. I heard it was in N.J. a few years back. There was a long post on the Hamb here several years ago when some guy had it, but I can't find that post now.
Flat Power here on the hamb is selling a 35 Ford. There are pics of it in front of a 2 car garage. Inside the garage is a full fendered 32 5/w of very similar color. He is from New Jersey.
here is an old thread on that car https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...e-this-32-coupe-might-be.382472/#post-4151400
Found the sold thread for 35 but the pics didn't show this 5 window. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/california-1935-ford-3-window-coupe-sold.1166901/ He does seem to be a NJ rodder with connections to old rides. Calling @Flat Power Phil
So not the 35 3 window he sold a while back. He is selling a 35 cabriolet that is a current listing. And yes, he does have ties to old hot rods
Randys five window is a different one he scored recently. The Olds powered one was for sale awhile back for a very reasonable price.
Hey, That's my old car, I bought it out of NJ, kept it for about 5 years, and I sold it to a guy in the Sacramento area who has a huge Deuce collection. I regret selling it now, but although it looked cool, it drove like shit. If I had kept it I would have ditched the Hydro, and put a LaSalle in it. It never seemed like it was happy in any gear. The engine was killer though. I'm glad it has a good home. I've got the file on it at my shop, so give me a call next week, 978-314-5972, if I can help you.
Antique Automotive was started in the 1960/1970s by Carl Burnett in San Diego. It was a haven for old Ford cars, parts (old, reproductions, NOS) as well as hot rods, other old cars and antique toys. Lots of 1932 Fords came in and went out. I remembered spending time with Carl when I was a kid. He was a character and a great car person. One of true hobby legendary originals. I believe the business was sold to Chris who started this thread.
