Technical Just wondering about 57 fenders

Anyone know if 57 merc and 57 fairlane front clips will interchange ??? I have a 57 fairlane that was totalled by insurance and I bought it back now found a 57 merc wagon with no front clip so I was wordering

not likely...the cowls don't interchange (according to Hollander). And the doors are shaped differently.

 

It has been done, however (or at least the other way); there was a picture of a "Mercero" in the Ranchero thread a year or so back. It looked real neat. I don't have any idea of how much work was involved though.

 

So basically I need to find a merc front clip thanks not sure I will mess with it
