1957 rebuilt engine and transmission out of a restored car. Maybe 4500 miles on both, new water pump, very clean engine factory 4bbl, factory dual exhaust engine. I also have a FACTORY Developmental Dual quad manifold to go with it. I have most of the Factory A/C brackets also. Nice.... What are you putting it in?

Exactly what is a factory developmental dual quad intake?

The Developmental intake was for NASCAR testing there were production manifolds to make the dual quads Nascar legal. There were rumors that only 60 or so Developmental Dual quad manifolds were made. It's for sale now, i had planned to put it in a 49 merc

The intake looks like a 56 Dual quad for the 317 with 285hp. You could get that intake on a 56 Pontiac. Ab Jenkins set a speed record at Bonneville with that motor in a Chieftain. Rocky and Flamedabone may know more.
