    Can a SBC and 700R4 go into a '36 Ford without splitting the wishbone?

    No the transmission is too long to permit not splitting the wishbone

    Also, the trans pan is way too wide to fit without widening out the center of the X. Check out our kit on our website.

    thought about running a 200-4R trans instead?

    You still have to split it. It is smaller, though. Look up my build on the Produce truck. It shows the 200 4R installation in a 35 Fords.
