  1. I can't tell you how bad of a year it's been between surgeries and funerals I really haven't had a chance to DO Anything with my roadster...!!!

Well the other night while recovering from a recent Back surgery... I thought that I'd just go out to the shop and think of my game plan... then I realised that there is always a ton of small things that can be done while sitting in my chair.

So I picked up some Grease and grabbed my wheel bearings and started packing them full of grease... of course I could ***emble my hubs and rotors from the same chair.

Next thing I knew... I had my little roller stool by the front end of the car and I swapped out the old drums for the vintage JFZ set up...!

That was easy... and my Vicoden was working pretty good as long as I didn't test it with any lifting...!;)

So I installed a custom bracket that holds my $12 Mr Gasket Econo shifter to the transmission and it works perfect!!! The bracket was designed by myself and a friend and the actual bracket was whittled out by my friends 16 year old son who's turning out to be quite a master machinist...!

    [IMG][IMG]

Then I drilled a couple of holes and mounted the trunk hinges and rear License plate bracket/light.

It's not alot... but it is the answer to an old question... "How do you eat an Elephant???" "ONE BITE AT A TIME"...!!!:D

Today I gave my neighbor a 24 pack of "Lienenkugals" and he pushed the "Crusher" outside for a couple of shots...!!!

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Still waiting for some steering stuff to arrive...

    [IMG][IMG]

Here's the Real reason people call my car a "Rat Rod" actually I named him "Crusher" he's pissed and would appreciate people keeping his Race out of their car terminology...!:D

Crusher reffers to the car as the "Roachster"... not Rat Rod...! Guess I'll be hearing from the Roaches about that...!

Wow, you must be recovering really fast! I had back surgery about a month and a half ago, and I am just barely getting back into working on small stuff. Glad to hear you're doing better!

Where did you buy that shifter setup at? I realize you made the mount, I have a similar need for my caddy motor and I think that will work.

Dude, you rock. You've done more from a roller seat while recovering from back surgery than I've done all month! I am a worthless pile of lazy ****. I will now go out to the shop to TRY to redeem myself. You oughtta have that roadster done by what, Sept. the latest? Get well, bro. MIKE.
