I have seen 2, Taunus sedans in the USA, one of which I was a partner in. It was hit hard in the passenger side " B " post, something that would be saved today. The convertible has to be very rare,and probably worth sacrificing a sedan to restore it.

 

Mind-blowing to see this Kaiser so stripped out of every molding and bolt-on piece but yet still has the highly prized bumper overriders on it!

 

At first I thought this was just a rusty 46-48 Dodge sedan, but after looking closely, this is actually a super rare Checker A2 brought over to Finland for the Helsinki Olympics. It was previously believed that only one A2 model was left in the world, until a handful were found in Finland and at least one of those was restored. I wonder if this is a new find? Would be a pretty big deal for Checker enthusiasts. It is definitely more than just a curiosity.

 

The Jeep is really picked clean too. I wonder if someone even tried peeling the stickers off the dash?

It looks like it's only the front half. It would be a really difficult restoration without the back half.

Yeah,Kaiser used some good quality chrome back in the day!

 

Unfortunatly only the front of the car is left. And it's not a new find,that pic is 4years old but it's been known for much longer.

Finland has a lot of rust growing on those cars!

 

Not rotting yet but on it's way. This Ford was shiny and beautiful two years ago when it showed up at the market and got loaded with S... . Body is perfect, no dents or scrapes. Interior is good. All in stock original condition. What a shame!

 

Any ideas? I’m thinking dodge
