They are VERY DESIRABLE, early 1928 only.
Ford only produced a few, they "dip"down faster, more rounded, at the crease, when you see the difference you will know.. Hard for me to describe, like porn, when you see it, you will know.

I recently purchased this from a co-worker, he inherited it and is really not into old cars. It was made to look like a fire truck with all kinds of fireman trinkets and do-dads. My plan is to hot rod it!! So far I put in a dropped axle, chrome wheels with smaller front tires (it had huge tires like the rear ones on the front), 9" rear with Pete and Jakes ladder bar setup, model A style rear spring from posies. I also chopped and slanted the windshield posts. Next up is clutch pedal and linkage for the Muncie I replaced the automatic automatic with. I am going to keep the paint job (it's not great but ok for a driver), and run it full fendered with the full hood.

 

That's going to be a nice one. You've done all the right stuff to it. Best of all, the color is great!

Yes I am real happy with it. It's about 90% Brookville body with original Ford frame. And red is my favorite color and l always loved Dean's truck so its a win,win situation.

 

Looks like it won't take long to get it back on the road. Your plan sounds good.

here's an old Chevy roadster pickup I saw up at Eli English's shop back in 2016.

 

I'd say '25 or '26. I'd make that the new ranch truck just as it is.

 

From what I remember you have to oil the rockers every time you go to start it. As you can see, it came with its own oil can.

 

I believe I saw the 1st one, (black with cow hide seat covers) at the Syracuse Nationals a few years back. Awesome roadster.

 

I'm just going by the body (cowl, radiator shell, windshield and front springs). I don't know if the cars and trucks were the same. There were some differences. The first valve covers didn't seal on the bottom but held an oil soaked cloth pad to oil the rockers. I think by then there was an oil line to soak the pad. '28 was the last four cylinder. Chevys in that condition are rare,
