Does anyone know if Halibrand is still making the Torque Thrust wheels? I bought a new pair of 6" Torque Thrust about 12 years ago. I liked because they had a tad more back space then the Americans as I used on front of a fendered duece coupe. They have the screw on center cap. I have a pair of 7" American Torque Thrust on the rear. They are re pops. 3 3/4 back space. I would like to check out a Halibrand back space or Superior or any of the other Torque Thrust style wheels for backspace. My first thought was Halibrand because I bought 2 new 12 years ago ....Thanks

  2. Halibrand has been bankrupt for quite a few years. Last we heard Holley owns the brand but we don’t know if anything will be revived.

I saw a pair on eBay the other day but I don’t remember the size.

I haven't kept up but I think the Halibrand that we knew is DOA. I used to see some five spokes on their online store but they just had odds/ends.
Have had these for many years, they are 16's, 8 inch rear, 7 inch fronts.
The screw-on center caps are cool but I didnt want to use the glue-on emblem, I turned the little lip off the face and repolished them.

Would you happen to remember the back space on either pair?

I know the Americans are. I'm trying to find the back space on the Halibrands,ET's 'Superiors or what ever. Several manufactures made a Torque Thrust. I was just thinking Halibrand because I bought a pair about 12 years ago and would like to find a pair of 15x7 for a Ford pattern.

    - the ones that you had, did they say Halibrand Torque Thrust on back side? - best not to get bogged down with current availability of Halibrand discussion - there are wheel wheeler dealers on this site that could likely give you the info needed

I bought a set of Torq Thust about 15 yrs ago, mounted BF Goodrich but never used them and they're sitting in the garage. Wonder if the tires are still any good (?) LOL.

If they are not showing cracking at rim I'd run them to local shows. As long as they were stored indoors. The sun and elements is what kills them. I pulled one of my rear American Racing off today. 15x7 3.75 B.S. Conical lug nut style. And they say USA made. When did they go Chinese? I would be happy with a 4" B.S. Torque Thrust wheel.
