I think "GoodGuys" came about so they could let in to 1964(originally) and had a lot more hot rod types at their show.. Maybe not so much now but for the first 10 years or so was a lot of traditional hot rod types(in my opinion)....
Yeah but Goodguys went over board and allowed up to 2020 year cars at their events. I can see them at local dealerships. I stopped going to their events when they dropped drag racing. Their yearly dues and event registration fees are absurd. Goodguys came about by someone other then the NSRA trying to milk the cash cow.
RacerX, Thanks for the pictures. The place looks empty. Guess we can thank COVID - 19 for that. You need to be there when its a full house. FYI, local Louisville News WDRB is saying 573 more Kentuckians contracted the Virus today. I'm 30 miles away and not attending. I'm a High Risk Chicken. Trying to have some say in how I'm going to "check out".
Yep, that sliding scale makes a '90 cadillac eligible this year....which I saw right across the isle from me today.
I need to stay at my car inside when the building is open. All my pics were taken driving around on the golf cart when most were leaving or had left. Alot more people today.
I've looked at a lot of attempts to put grille bars into Model A Ford shells and up until this pic, every one I'd seen looked like dog shit. But this is a pretty attractive grille with the use of an A shell. Noteworthy.
I like it too. Sinister. Thank you for the pics. That model a is sitting in the sw corner that is usually jammed with cars.
My son and I always sat close to front gate to watchem come in . I saw a you tube video that showed both sides roped off! No tent for Memphis Street Rods. Looking south toward front gate, all empty!
Hey, Brian; Thanks for the pics. I know you don't have much time away from the car, so taking n posting for those of us that can't go, is appreciated. I actually like the variety, & see what ingenuity gets applied to what, & how well they can pull it off. Get a lot of ideas on what, & what not, to do. . Marcus...
I think I can count visible humans on one hand...Strange Days indeed! Thanks for showin what we’ve all been missing this summer!
I was able to sneak away while cars were still here. I took a 360 degree series of shots. To be honest I'm tired from looking at this group of several thousand cars. I can't imagine looking at several thousand more on a normal year.
360 shot. Some non friendly hamb cars in there. I can't help that scroll by or delete if needed. Just showing the view.
