    Saw these along a hiking/bicycling trail. There were "No Trespassing" signs, so I couldn't get close. IMG_5596 (2).jpg IMG_5597 (2).jpg IMG_5602.jpg IMG_5601.jpg

  6. Interested to see the Kaiser and the '38 Ford Standard in Finland. Intrigued by that truck that has a grille and front end that looks like US '37 Chevy, but that cab is a totally different animal from the US Chevy truck cab. Wonder if it could be an Opel truck as Opel was a GM subsidiary. Opel built trucks for the German Army in WWII while Chevy and GMC built them for the US and Canada. Both sides had Ford trucks. My father was a WWII veteran. The first time he saw my '38 Ford truck, he said all he could think of was how many '38 and '39 Ford trucks the German Army had.

I'm pretty sure it's a '37 Chevy truck. They came to Sweden, and I guess also Finland, with complete chassis/driveline and front fenders, lights as hood and grille to be built loyally for any purpose bodies.
That cab is really a beast..

Never know what you might find sitting and rotting, even at the bottom of a lake.
This one still had its driver and passenger rotting away with it.
Notice the Tommy machine gun laying neer the driver, in the mud , there is also a busted up moonshine still and other guns scattered about .
Apparently some foul play took place that sent that 32 Roadster and it occupants too the bottom of the lake. 20200806_213522.jpeg 20200806_213639.jpeg

I confess..its really not at the bottom of a lake .
I put this together a year or so ago, after seeing one that Ron Funkhouser did over on the die-cast tuesday thread.
His was a fish tank that had real fish and a filtering system.
Mine is a old glass battery case and I used swamp mud , no fish and no filter , it looked really cool but after sitting on my desk for couple weeks ...ya..it stunk.
So it ended up out on the back porch, well I found it the other day all dried up , filled it with fresh water, and it looks cool again ...and its outside this time. 20200807_020730.jpeg
