  2. It looks like a picture from Connecicut Drag-way. Bill Lawton / Tasca Ford were frequent competiters there.

  5. the automatics blew up in just as spectacular fashion. i had a 727 come apart on the starting line while driving the jakes speed equipment awb car. if you should ever see the car look at the dash and the passenger side inner lower fender. the dash got happered out and the fender patched after shrapnel exited both areas. the tci trans shields brackets were sheared off. when the car came back to the pits the driveshaft was removed and the trans or what was left fell on the ground. no bolts needed to be removed. beswick got burned bad in a auto trans fire.

Gary , Automatic or manual, rotating mass either between your legs or as in Brian's case along side can be a game changer in a split second. Seen it happen numerous times over the last 49 years on the track and on the street. Ever launch a front joint on a potent 440 Mopar street machine without a front drive shaft hoop because you didn't think you needed one cause it was a STREET machine! Believe me that can be short changer in itself let alone something like that Jeep! lol Larry

I've been on that ride... You want to run but you can't! You need an extra pair of shorts, a shovel, a squeegee, and a water hose to clean up the mess!!! Not fun, but definately memorable!:eek::eek:

That's a Doug Nash/S-K/Warrior tunnel ram. Those three different brands were all the same intake but owned by the respective names different years and branded as such. I hope to use this one on my '61 Catalina one day,

Interesting hood scoop. Front suspension very close to scrub line.

This is a wonderful thread, but how has it survived when it is technically not allowed on the Hamb?

  21. Technically your wrong because fx and super stock started way before 1965. You might want to do a little research before you make a comment like that. You dont want to go around making a ass of yourself over a technicality
