I am working on several panels from my 31 A'. These have been cleaned, straightened, sand blasted and then sanded & or scotch brighted; a few were shot with self etch primer to preserve them for the long term, I just finished one and it has nothing sprayed on it yet . The epoxy I have is TCPglobal and in reading the instructions there is nothing specific regarding spraying it over a self etch base.
What is your experience with this scenario , and whet would you suggest? Thanks, Steve

  2. It’s a no when being used together.
Meaning, don’t use them as a wet on wet procedure.
A fully cured etch may not bother it. If it’s rattle can, I would sand that off.
If it’s a beater, carry on. If your going to spend $$$ and want it to look good, then eliminate any possibilities of any problems.
I wouldn’t use etch under epoxy for a customer

Are you talking lacquer type etch prime? Because A. That doesn't preserve and B. I've only ever seen epoxy over it as a no-no.
Another type of etch prime? I don't know.

    Ask TCP Global.

Best to call the tech line to avoid any issues.
