Up for sell is my super clean 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL factory 390 4 speed (4 speed was upgraded to a top loader). This is a factory power steering, power brake and power top car. If your looking for a top down attention grabbing ride, look no further. This car was a California car that made it's way to the east coast (original AAA stickers on the side glass). I purchased the car with the intent to make a really nice bagged convertible to cruise in. The car had 45K original miles when I purchased it, so it was was the perfect canvas. I purchased Ridetech's four link kit along with the shockwave air bags. I removed (included with the sale) the front springs and rear leaf springs and installed the Ridetech kit. The factory 14" wheels and hubcaps (included with the sale) didn't fit the look, so I purchased a clean set of chrome smoothies and custom center caps, wrapped them with 3" radial white walls. Now that the car had the look, I turned my attention to the engine bay. I removed the old generator and installed a 100 amp alternator that looks like the factory generator. I also upgraded the factory power brakes and installed a dual master cylinder with an adjustable prop valve. The factory points system was removed and a Pertronix ignition was installed as well. The carb was also updated to a Holley 600 cfm 4 barrel. Now I had to give the interior a minor tweak. I purchased and install a VDX Dakota gauge package w/ GPS speedometer, installed it and now have to confidence the 390 has all critical points monitored. The interior is all original and looks fantastic. The exterior is really clean and straight, all the bright work shows great. The car is all original metal, no panels or patches! Everything works as it should and runs/drives & stops terrific. This car is a pleasure to drive..
