1956 Desoto Fireflite 2 door Hardtop 330 Desoto Hemi, Powerflite Auto push ****on trans Clean, Clear Texas ***le Engine fires right up and sounds great (Carb rebuilt by PO, electric choke), trans shifts no problem, PS (rebuilt pump), PB (brake system rebuilt by PO), new exhaust from headers back, all gl*** is excellent, lights all work including dash and dome lights, Gauges work, original clock works, electric windows work, electric front seat works (even goes up and down!) This car is very original down to the oil bath air cleaner. PO did lots of work to make it a solid cruiser. Lots of original paperwork and even the original aluminum keys. What it needs: - Rust repair/paint.It has rust in the rockers, rear fenders, and rear bumper. P***enger floors and trunk floor are solid, rest of body is extremely straight. - Had a coolant leak last time it was driven more than a few minutes. I believe it was from the water pump gasket but I couldn't recreate it at idle. Cooling system still holds coolant. I haven't driven it since then. I just go fire it up once a week and do a lap around my parking lot from time to time. - Motor mounts are cracked and need replaced - Smoke at headers on idle. Valve cover gaskets leaking and dripping on exhaust. No smoke out the tail pipes. - Seats need recovered This is an awesome car but its not what my dad and I want to invest time in. I like hotrods and he likes muscle cars so we would possibly consider trades for something in one of those categories. We might put cash toward the right trade. $9500 cash
