I did that for them...matching frame like the previous one I did of Jim Lindsley, so they can hang together.

WOW Steve !!! I love it...I'm a ****er for great Art Deco:). I really admire your flowing line work. I gotta ask, are you using a fountain type pen...or something more high-tech?

  7. Thank you. It's black india ink on paper via a #7ish brush. I draw every day, cars & bikes, so I can rock an OK ellipse now & again. Sometimes I clean up a lil' w/ PShop- I belt these out fast, every Friday.
I'm into harmonica again too- same thing- doin' it often lets you find the lil' holes easier.

A lil' side note- I was walking in my street and I see this old bloke in overalls in his yard and I waved g'day. He smiled and said g'day, and he struck me on first impression as an old-school- type of fella. We talked a bit, and it turns out he has a fully-operational steam- powered model of a train engine, just like the one in this drawing. He built it totally himself. It's as long as a car. Sitting on a rail platform in his shed. It's just great- a copy of an old 500 cl*** South Australian express. Just the engine & coal tender. All solid metals and br***es, painted green.
He was gonna throw out some old poly pipe, and I said to him I'll take it off yer hands.
So I created this artwork as a thank you to good ol' Bob- the master engineer.

Holy **** Steve...you did that drawing with a BRUSH ? Well that explains why your lines flow so nicely !

Now, I've been a sign painter my whole life (buzzed on 1-Shot fumes) and I have pretty good brush control skills, but I can't imagine using a brush for line work. That's some pretty amazing brush control.
