Had a great time at the show, it was the "first" time out at a major event with the "Rolf" coupe. I got the interior almost done except for the headliner, but it was presentable. Met several HAMBers and tons of great folks. Chatted with Jim Shelton, the fellow that won the Egorama with the maroon 32 roadster. I did not spend as much time taking pictures as usual (it's different when you have you own car in the show) but here are some random pix in no particular order:
Rolf, it s a great to chat with you and your buddy, really enjoyed it.. your coupe is so nice. I will be posting pics later tonight I hope. Got around 600 to download.. Did you ever find that orange track nose roadster..
Anyone get a pic of the drag boat in the building with the pinstripers? The boat named "Penetration".
Thanks, I like to think you guys have seen enough of that thing by now. I will have a report on the interior soon, though... Very nice meeting you too. No, I never got to it, I didn't get away from my car, I kept chatting with folks, and all the sudden it was party time ! Yes, they will, but this is the extent of it. Yeah, sorry, the web site has been a little "static" the last year. Between moving to a new house, building a new shop, finishing the coupe, it's not a high priority to sit in front of the PC in the summer. I keep the site available to new visitors, I still get many folks stopping by for the first time.
Thought I would add some of my pics to your thread Rolf. The first two are of my buddies (ratstu) Laurie and (Torchmen 49) Dave cruising down the I-5 on the way to Puyallup.
Rolf, coupe looks great. Pics are awesome. Looks like you guys had a blast. Any chance you got a pic or two of the pink/black '56 Plymouth in the background of these two pictures? http://www.cl***icroad.com/Puyallup2006/140_4026.JPG http://www.cl***icroad.com/Puyallup2006/140_4028.JPG
Yeah guys, just post away if you got others from the event. Nice to meet Laurie and the other Canadian brothers, too !
Great pic's guys. That was by far one of the best weekends I have had in a LONG time. Thanks to athe Amocat guys for the great hospitality, hope to see you all @ Hot Rod o Ramma. That black "A" on 32 rails was my fav of the show!
sorry I missed you, but your car is so fine surprising in fact you watch a car go together here on the HAMB and know you dig it but to see it in real life was amazing it is really a fine car
Paul, the hemi powered roadster/sportcoupe conversion is a buddy of mine (Spencer) its the group (Misfits) I hung around all with weekend. Got to go for a quick ride in it Sat morning, WOW,, it is spirited and spins the vintage 14" cheater slicks with no effort.. I need more power for my hotrod now..
The black model "A" is definately a top shelf car, but it always baffles me how somebody can get a car so period correct, and then use that cheezy split loom wire covering right on top of the engine for everybody to see.
That was your coupe I kept going back to stare at, Rolf? I gotta tell ya... I loved everything about that car. Absolutely perfect in every way. Pictures do NOT do it justice. By the time I rounded up my camera... you were gone. Stunning car.
