There goes the neighborhood! Haha :D Just kidding Steve and Dale. Best of luck with the new shop. Sorely needed in the Puget Sound area. Wish I could have made it, but I was outta town this weekend. Question for ya, you didn't mention any services, just parts and stuff. Are you planning on offering any services?
Again, best of luck with the shop!

Not sure just yet. The last car show it attended was at the Hunters Point Armory in S.F. in 1962. That's where Lucas is from. Sent Photos down to his studio, we will see. Problem is the car was not yellow when it was at that show in "62". Everything else was the same but the color. It was painted yellw in 68/69. Still way before the movie ever came out. Looks alot like the car in the movie! I have photos of the car in the early years. They will be all on a board at the Hotrodarama. Thanks again everybody for the great coments.

Wow, looks like Steve and Cory and Izabella had quite a turnout at their party the other night, would liked to have been there with the new front engined fueler that Steve is a part of, clutch dust, nitro headaches, piston burning and the whole enchilada. Will be up there asap to look this deal over and make some noise. John and Judee Shoemaker

Are you saying this car was inspiration for the A.G. Coupe? Because the grill, front suspension, tail lights, exhaust, etc. are certainly not the real deal.
There were probably a few cars that inspired Lucas in the Valley at the time he was growing up though-maybe this one. In any event, it's a cool find.

Just saying possibly inspiration! I grew up in the Central Valley. Fresno to be exact. Like I said the last car show that it attended was in San Francisco in 62. It looked just the way it does today except for the ****up gas door and the tires. Looks very close. It is hard to believe that there would be an exact car like the A.G. coupe from that period. I grew up going to car shows as a kid in the Valley. From Bakersfield to Redding. There were lots of cars built similar. Old and new. This is why I sent the photos down there to thier studio. Not photos just taken, but the photos that the orig owner sent to me.

Cool! Definetly inspiration. Even if Lucas is not familiar with the car, the shop that built the A.G. coupe probably is (the shop name escapes me now, but you might know). Might try getting in touch with them too. Even if there were similar cars around at the time, can't be too many cars just like this one in the valley at the time.

  22. Yeah, I was there; just thought it was the wrong party - figured that this wasn't for a business with all the houses on the street.

Well, best o' luck with shop!

Thank you for the invite and for puttin' on the awesome party. It was a treat! The food was awesome, the girls were more awesome and the cars were superb. The shop is really cool - if any of you are in the area and haven't seen it - make a point to, you won't be dissapointed! Thanks again - it was fun!! Tim :)
