I don't see valve covers as "sexy", but I like the curved script Edelbrocks...

Those are the Chevrolet hemi heads designed and built by Leo Lyons being tested on Isky's dyno. Rumor has it that they are being reproduced soon.

Member Oldtymehiboy has his original pair of Leo Lyons heads for sale currently on page 14 in the classifieds. Yep , if ever there was a sexy valve cover... the ones on that Isky test engine would be it!

  5. These win hands down for me; only possible way they could be better is if they were Maytags...

I'm a Ford guy and I was just wishing she would move the valve cover:)

The Cammer and Boss 429 are tough looking but the Chrysler Hemi valve cover is beautiful.

One for the Aussies. Rocker cover (and sideplate) to suit the Repco aftermarket crossflow head. Suits Holden's I6 grey motor (1948-1963).

If there was a sexist air cleaner thread the merc setup above would be the winner.

I will disagree with that!!! The 385 series didn't come out till 1968 and didn't have a boss in the line up. My magnesium cover is 1970 or 71, so yes to new for here. But so is the Holman and Moody cover!

Still think the original post of the '56/'57 Lincoln & Continental is an "original manufacturer" contender, although that 427 sohc cover is definitely a "Woodie-Maker"!!
