1952-59 Ford About those 52-54 hood hinges

I posted this in the Pic of the Night and thought you members might comment on it but Nada We know those hinges **** so if any of you see this car would love to see what he did to solve that issue.

 

I was thinking of doing this at one time but decided to wait til the old hinges break to decide.

Maybe he used 57-59 hinges.

 

Do you remember the discussion a while back about the Hoffman Group and their substandard products? Autoloc is part of that company.

 

Stig makes a very good point their name needs to be brought up just to remind people.

I bought an Autoloc tilt kit for a '62 F-100 unibody I did about 10 years ago. Worked on it for about 2 week and couldn't get any of it to work. Threw it in the trash and designed our own tilt system for it.
Your mileage may vary.

How about posting some pictures and telling how you did it ? Would be a big help to many I bet.

 

Well Jeff, I would but I sold the truck about 6 years ago and don't have any pictures of the tilt mechanism. Sorry.
