I am a texan fabricator about to make a move to the santa rosa california area. I was hoping you guys would know some shop info in that area, and if anyone is in need of a full time fabricator/mechanic. Phone numbers and a name would be awesome. I have my own tools and a lot of 32 ford experience so shops that lean towards that side of the boat would be excellent..Thanks in advance
A few years ago i would have suggested American Dream Rods but they went under. THey did really good work, just shoddy business ethics. I know the owner of Creative Concepts. They do alot of traditional stuff but they do some pretty truck stuff too. I know zane is doin a willys with a hemi for his dad. Its pretty rough but with his expertise, it will be sick! There website is down but you can check it out when it comes back up. creativeconcepts4u.com
hey man, thats excellent info...just what im lookin for...got anything else? maybe some names of some shops i can check out while im there? im going next week to scope for jobs before i move in late august...thanks man
I am from santa rosa and moving back to santa rosa in three weeks. we should hook up and start doing some side work. I too am a fabricator and a body man. I could probly find us some space to rent. I got alot of conections in Santa Rosa. I used to do some of the body work for Don at American DreamRods. rumor has it he was diagnosed with cancer and retired but don't quote me on it. As far as Creative concepts go they are the real thing. They build sick rides mild to wild. They build the kind of **** that wins the oakland roadster show,Zane is a cool kat. He has an incredale eye for what flows. and his partner Dennis is like a metal mad scientist. Well I could go on for ever so I'll stop now. Any way if you are interested or need some one just to hang out with and show you around santa rosa. PM me and we can hook up. later P.S. your gonna love the weather.
try geoschopshop.com i met this cat last week. don't know if he needs help, but he is a really cool guy.
Good move!!! I didn't grow up in Santa Rosa but I did spend alot of summers there. My sister moved there when I was 8 and didn't move back until I was 21, so thats 13 summers there. They lived at 55 chelsea, close to larkfield and cardinal newman school. Great place, good luck.
Jopar-- As far as i know Zane and Dennis are no longer partners. They split a while ago. Not sure why. Business reasons. Zane has the shop now. I was up there before i left the states and i went ot his shop. INSANE stuff comin out of there. THis bike they are building is crazy. Have you ever seen the purple flamed willys they did? Thats my dads. Its been a while since they did it but its still sick. DONNIE from dream rods moved out of town a few years back. I heard of some shady business trends but im not sure. He did amazing work. I dont think he has cancer, just layin low for a bit. He did some wirk on my truck a while back. That man is bad*** when it comes to rods. His son had a pretty bad*** 72 also. It was purple with a 454. Anyways, my pops bought the steelbody willys of Donnie a while back. Its gonna be pretty sick when he finishes it.
hey guys i really appreciate this info...ill be comin up next week to check these places out and talk to some folks...does anyone know anything about sacramento hotrod shop? i hear there is a few shops over in sacramento as well...know any?
