    Hello Straykatkustoms,
One day I hope to attend your “Lead” party, for now I and many others are watching from afar. PLEASE take lots of pics with detail in all cars there for us!!!! Show us some interior shots and anything else that gets your attention.
I hope your event is as successful as in years past and I wish all attendees the best time ever, we all need some good positive vibes! Can’t wait to see the rides, they have given me big inspiration and ideas for my 51’

Driving into Bartlesville on Friday after work. What is going on Friday evening? Any events or gatherings?
And then what goes on during the day Saturday?
This is my first time attending. Looking forward to learning the ropes, and meeting some folks, as next year my project will be there if everything goes according to plan!

Thanks for the kind words and kool wishes. Love watching your Merc come together and I love you didn't just follow the same kustom path. You pushed the creative button, that is one of the kool aspect of our hobby..... We will be taking some pics and will sharing them on the HAMB. Its not a big show but we draw in some kool kustoms. Here is this year's event poster.

Perfect! Thanks for the info.....We will see you on Friday evening!

  15. one of my favorite shots! :)

LOL. Well, my plan was to bring the Merc, but not sure that is going to work out in the end. It's literally in beater status these days and is a total mess, with no time to get it cleaned up, oil change, etc before the weekend. Probably just in the van with the fam.

Hate harsh the mellow but if you have any "pull" with the organizers of this shindig how about suggesting a "Moment Of Silence" in remembrance of the attack on 9/11. NEVER forget.

That is either a Buick that KKOA's Jerry Titus had back in the 70's or someone is cloning the style. I remember one of the mags doing a story about him and Eldon with a bunch of pictures of their early rides. Larry

Headed up sometime tomorrow afternoon after we get done getting an MRI on my oldest sons neck that seems he hurt in football. Looking forward to it and even polished up my turd for the occasion. I didn’t realize just how far gone the paint had gotten.

Thanks Mark for posting your pics and letting me sit in such a kool ride. She found a good home and I'm thrilled that it will be taken care of. Kool to watch it run around...

Bill, you are not supposed to tell I was so close, so close... I was going to give you a ride... Lol!

Borrowed pics... some from GV Gordon's eye..

I was concerned about this years show because of all of the shows canceling, I had no way getting the word out. I had to rely on the HAMB and other social media. I had no idea how many we were going to attend. I received calls from all over the country and was concerned they were going to be the only ones there. I was pleasantly surprised, we had 86 vehicles which was 20 more than we had last year. They were not all kustoms but it was easy to to see who dominated the show. I'm a small town guy and I enjoy smaller shows because they turn into a social event more than a car show. Like I have been told, you make your own fun.

Very thankful for the Jalopy Journal, we had a good HAMB'r turn out. Like to spot light @TrailerTrashToo who drove his kustom '48 Volvo out from Arizona. I been following his road trip adventure on another thread. It is kool to see a guy enjoying his road trip. From the other side of the country, Mike rolled out with his 50 Mercury from Pennsylvania. They had a great time and told me they would be back. Hard to believe guys could drive thousands of miles to attend our show and not feel like it was a waste of time.

Lot of great builders were there but it was kool to see David Guymon. It had been a while since I've seen him. He is a great guy and has a kool eye for the right kustom touches. Gary Meyers was traveling through town so he surprised us with the Voodoo Spider. Wow what a thrill to have the Spider at the show. It felt like Elden was there and he was.

I'm so thankful to be part of the Kustom family and it was social overload weekend. We needed it... I would like to thank everyone for coming out, we had the koolest kustom turn out that we have had so far. Our third try was almost right. We will try it again (our forth) next year.
