Yes, I know all about it. It is a show I have attended since ‘89 or so. It is a typical small town show in a park and generally has somewhere around 100 or so cars show up. For me, it is an opportunity to catch up with lots of friends even more than it is about the cars. I rarely enter anymore, but always drive an old car. Not sure I would recommend traveling all the way from Amarillo unless you are just wanting to take a road trip. Guthrie is kind of a cool historic town though with lots of antique stores, etc. So, there are things to check out beyond just the show too. We even still have a drive-in theater.

Don’t forget that we are still doing the Hot Rod Hundred on October 3rd too. Also ending that in Guthrie. :D

Hmm...I may have to try to make that deal in Ardmore. I haven't been to that track since high school more than 30 years ago.

Aside from the racing, anything else going on there at the same time........car show, swap meet, etc? I seem to remember two really neat homes of obvious car guys heading west on state hwy (or US)70 out of Ardmore.......big garages, lots of vintage cars, signs, gas pumps etc.

Hey Rich, do you know Tom Griffin by chance? He just signed up for our Hot Rod Hundred and looks like he will be driving his 46 Ford Tudor from Amarillo...

They usually have a small car show at the drag strip. Usually 10-20 cars, but the race cars are older as well and you can walk through the pits and look. I dont know how much the covid will affect attendance.

The name or car doesn't sound familiar, but that doesn't mean much with my memory. I'll ask around. I've got a friend here with a '46 2 dr. sedan, but that's not him.

Several 52-59 Fords (and Mercury’s) at the show, but I didn’t get many pics. I think one of my sons got more though. If so, I’ll try to post more.

Wish I could have made it...thanks for posting, Jeff!
Whether we like it or not, we need to keep in mind NO masks means officials will be less likely to issue permits for other events in the future.

A few more 52-59 Ford’s that were at the show. Pics stolen from another thread.
