Water Displacement perfected on the 40th try and it protected the outer skin of the Atlas Missile against rust

Corrosion actually. The tank/skin is stainless. The only change since the original formula was the fragrance.

I use it to store bagged&tagged engine parts or when we run out of that non-stick PAM spray. Try it, you'll be amazed!

Yes but the smell of SAE 80 lasts longer...at least a week based on my wifes' nose.

I guess I have to admit that there are some good things on the tube... just flipped it on last night and had to listen. I always wondered what it stood for and you're right Water Displacement attempt # 40 and that aside from the fragrance change has remained the same formula since 1951 I believe.

I've smelled like carb cleaner for the last 3 days, we had a swarm of wasps here this weekend and no wasp spray. Works good enough but I think I actually absorbed it into my skin. I wash and wash but everytime I break a sweat I get that faint odor... Just add that to the list of chemicals in my body.

It used to use propane as the propellent.Since changed that.
Do you know what STP stands for?
    I do.

  13. Scientificaly Treated Petroleum Far as WD40 goes, believe it or not, some good old boys (yeah, we got them here too) rub it into their knee and wrist joints for arthritis treatment--swear by it too.
