I always have mixed feelings about Larry's work and this car is no exception. I love what he has done on the front end but the rear fender treatment and those bubble skirts don't work for me at all.

 

Wow, that white what-cha- ma call it, two frames up is interesting. Can't decide if I like it or loath it, but leaning towards liking it. What and imagination and dedication to 10 tons of work. Now what the &^%$#@ is it ??

 

It started as a 1950 Chevy built by Voodoo Larry. Larry is super creative and not afraid to do something different which is cool but as I mentioned above his work is kind of hit or miss for me.

 

To me it's just a monument to bad taste.

But just****uming you've built one or more, you gotta admit there are two cars worth the work accomplished on it.

 

Which is why they call it "taste." What tastes bad to you is going to be delicious to someone else.

On the white car, I come down firmly in the middle. Wouldn't want to own it, but I also don't hate it.

This sweet little Merc from Sedalia, MO popped up at the Oktoberfest here in Jefferson City, today. The photos don't do the paint justice. A really well done sled.

On a related note, I also ran into @saltflats at the show. I knew he was a HAMBer because he was wearing one of @Deuced Up!'s "Drag Snake" tshirts! It's cool to get a chance to put a face with the avatar name. :)

 

I think those Chevies make almost as nice a Customs as the Mercs!
