1952-59 Ford Door check?

    Has anyone removed these before from inside the door. These are from really bad donor doors. They are missing from the good doors that I have.

    Just push them back into the door. They come loose with a little effort but not bad. I removed mine, cleaned them up and painted them. Reinstalled them and they work fine. They are spring loaded, thats why it takes a little effort to remove.

    Sure would appreciate you doing a write up on how you dis***embled and re ***embled them..
    I haven't quit figured it out yet..

    Thank you. That's how it was kind of looking to me, but wasn't 100% on it.

    Yes, they can be removed, I got them out and painted them when I was working on the wagon. they can be seen at the top of this photo.

    It's been a long tine since I did it but I believe I used a pair of pliers pushed it in. HRP
