I have a model A frame I am putting A Mercury flathead in it with stock 1933 wishbone and stock 1933 axle . I am thinking the wish bone will be to long to mount to Bellhouse . Anyone got any ideas
    Regards

Options vary from splitting the wishbones to swapping your choice of wishbone for something that better accommodates the car. The 33 axle and wishbone are not the same as model A.

I ran that bracket in my avatar with a flathead and a Model A with a V8 transmission with no problems and I'm putting one in a flathead powered A I'm working on now. The bracket I just bought has instructions on drilling and tapping a third bolt into the bottom of the transmission case, goes into the clutch area and has a couple of spacer washers to stop any upward movement when braking.

I have thoroughly tested the strength of these mounts. No issues over ten years and THOUSANDS of miles

My '27 T touring (atop '32 rails) has had split Deuce w/b, hairpins, and a split '48 Ford 'dropped type' wishbone, car still not running.
I'm going to go with an original wishbone, probably with Deuce center cross member. This thread has shown interesting options. Thanks, guys.
