I just picked up a 36 Pontiac 6. It's been off the road for decades, but the guy supposedly fired it up last year. I am unfamiliar with the 30s Pontiacs; can anyone decode the trim tag for me? I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet; I'm thinking enough rust and wood repair to put it together, then see how the original engine runs. It may get a Pontiac V8 at some point. Thanks, Importsmasher
If you s**** the engine, I'm interested- there are a few parts that can be used on the early Chevy 4 engines
You have a 1936 Deluxe 6 Silver Streak 2 door touring sedan that came with Black paint and a taupe plush interior. The accent stripe on the body and black wheels was argent (silver). I am working on a 39 deluxe 8 4 dr sedan and am thinking about putting a Pontiac OHC 6 in it. Here's a link to help you with your car. http://www.badgoat.net/Early Times/36 Restoration Guidebook Feb_06.htm
